Apple Harvest Hello everyone, Before you know it Fall will be
here and you know what that means right? APPLE HARVEST FEST. We are looking for volunteers to help work the PAJCI Senate Ice
Cream Stand. The dates are October 3 & 4 and October 10 & 11. If you can help work anytime during those two weekends
it would be greatly appreciated. Also, we will need help on Friday October 2nd between 12 and 1 to set up the tents. Just
a reminder you do not have to be there all day. Please contact me and let me know what day and time frame you would be available.

Harvest is right around the corner. It is never too early to start preparing for it. This year we are once again having a
committee work on it. I will be coordinating things, Diane Duell is once again taking care of ordering the ice cream, Connie
Cox is handling our manpower aspects and Beth and Krista Muir are handling inventory. The dates this year are October 3rd & 4th and October 10th & 11th, from 8am to 6pm on Saturdays
and 8am to 5pm on Sunday. Write the dates down, plan to come to Biglerville and scoop some ice cream for a while, and then
enjoy a walk around the grounds. There are a lot of apple related foods and plenty of crafts. REMEMBER THE DATES: October 3rd & 4th and 10th
& 11th. If you can work anytime during those 2 weekends,
especially the first weekend, it doesn't have to be the whole day, contact Connie Cox at coxwoodac@yahoo.com or phone 717-808-0990 and let her know the days and times so that we can coordinate passes and schedules. If you decide to
work, please plan on arriving 15 to 30 minutes before your shift to get oriented and plan on working your entire shift. If
you want to shop, eat, or walk around with friends or family please do it before or after your shift so that we have enough
workers to cover the time. We
will also be setting up the tents on Friday October 2nd starting between 12 and 1 PM, all help would be greatly appreciated.
This is one of the largest and longest running festivals in the nation and it is run by the Upper Adams Jaycees. So come out
and Return the Favor to the Jaycees. Proceeds benefit the PA JCI Senate Scholarship fund, the Lost Senator fund and other

Social This year the PA Senate Pittsburgh
Holiday Dinner Party will be on FRIDAY, DECEMBER
4th. The party will be held at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel (on Thorn Run Road, near Pittsburgh). The cost will be $50 per person for a full buffet
including dessert. (The food at this hotel has
never disappointed.) Socializing
and a cash bar will begin at 5:30 with
dinner being served at 6:30. Following
dinner we’ll have a voluntary gift exchange. If you would like
to join in the fun and participate, please bring a new, wrapped gift valued at a minimum of $15. Feel free to participate as an individual or couple. The Cobblestone Inn of Ambridge has become the hotel of choice for PA Senators attending this social from out of town. Reservations can be made by calling 724-266-7100. When making your reservation request “The Robert McDonald and Friends Discount” and you should receive a discounted room
rate. To get the discount
you must make your reservation by calling the hotel, it can not be applied if you book online. RSVP’s are due to me by NOVEMBER 18th. All
